To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Freddy Ciceron sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mascota's Freddy Ciceron got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Denis Pes came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the Guaminí FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Denis Pes couldn't finish the play. Denis Pes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hugo Ostots having to interfere. Astor Galtero's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 36thth minute, Silvio Pepillo skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal.

The wind increased when Silvano Fresco made the kick off in the second half. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Freddy Ciceron during the 52nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Astor Galtero sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Eugenio Efraim's late challenge caught a Mascota's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Eugenio Efraim helped the player get up and apologised. Eugenio Efraim hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. In the 59th minute of the match Raul George sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Silvio Pepillo skillfully saved the ball. Freddy Ciceron sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Silvio Pepillo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Freddy Ciceron, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. In the 76th minute, Silvano Fresco got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 82nd minute, Nereo Liher hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Silvio Pepillo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Astor Galtero, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Silvano Fresco's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Hugo Ostots read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 94th minute of play. Eugenio Efraim took the ball and in the 96 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Hugo Ostots. Hugo Ostots dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
