Nicolas Fidele took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Christian Papo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 14 played minutes Patricios got a freekick which was hit by Hector Efren. Paulo Olayo hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. In the 17th minute, Sergio Min hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpected shot in the 21st minute by Santiago Barrionuevo got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. The audience was convinced that Andres Giro's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gualterio Pacifico was relentless in the 24th minute of the game. After 31 played minutes Andres Giro could catch the ball where he stood relatively free a bit outside the goal and without hesitation he completed 2-0 into the left cross. Gualterio Pacifico showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Andres Giro, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Christian Papo to make the kick off. After 52 minutes of play, Rosario Central's Justo Ponce made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Nicolas Fidele was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 57th minute, Andres Giro ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gualterio Pacifico was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-1. Patricios's Aquilino Nardo was substituted for Sergio Min. Andres Giro scored 5-1 in the 62nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gualterio Pacifico, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Andres Giro blasted a shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gualterio Pacifico having to make a save. Patricios's Hector Efren got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Patricios's attack was well implemented in the 72nd minute, but when Andres Giro was about to shoot he didn't get a good hit on the ball and it hit the crossbar and flew over. Goal Kick. If Carolo Llorenc had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gualterio Pacifico stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Andres Giro's shot from short distance in the 92nd minute. After having played for 95 minutes, Andres Giro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Patricios's supporters crossed their fingers, but Andres Giro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Patricios had played much better football throughout.
