Carmelo Mitxel started the match with the kick off. Lázaro Haitz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Justo Tibalt came out of the goal in the 14th minute to try and stop a shot by EL ROJO TUCUMANO's Carmelo Mitxel. But to his dismay, Carmelo Mitxel quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. 19 minutes into the game, Artemio Goizeder was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. EL ROJO TUCUMANO's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Independiente the free kick. The supporters of Independiente booed when EL ROJO TUCUMANO was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Artemio Goizeder didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dennis Sundberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arnoldo Perfecto, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Independiente's zone, Carmelo Mitxel stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Justo Tibalt came out of the goal and Carmelo Mitxel tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Melchor Lonzo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 40 minutes into the game, Carmelo Mitxel was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. EL ROJO TUCUMANO's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Independiente the free kick. Justo Tibalt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carmelo Mitxel in the 44th minute of play. In the 48th minute, Igor Tolino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The Independiente players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. EL ROJO TUCUMANO were winning 0-2.

The wind increased when Cleto Raymon made the kick off in the second half. Igor Tolino kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. After 60 played minutes EL ROJO TUCUMANO got a freekick which was hit by Adolfo Orlandus. EL ROJO TUCUMANO's Dennis Sundberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cleto Raymon in the 62nd minute of play. Lázaro Haitz might have been able to make a better finish in the 64th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dennis Sundberg. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Lázaro Haitz ran back to his position shaking his head. Dennis Sundberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lázaro Haitz in the 71st minute of play. Cleto Raymon's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dennis Sundberg read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 72nd minute of play. Melchor Lonzo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Justo Tibalt having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Independiente's Zacarias Salvadore got a free kick in the 80th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lázaro Haitz in the 87th minute of play forced EL ROJO TUCUMANO's goalkeeper Dennis Sundberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 96 minutes into the game, Lázaro Haitz cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Dennis Sundberg was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. EL ROJO TUCUMANO's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
