Silvano Caetano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ubaldo Txeru, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. Fontezuela were furious when Cleto Berasko was red carded, 14 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. A collision led to Fontezuela getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Cleto Berasko hit a great ball. After having played for 16 minutes, Maximiliano Natal managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Nacimiento's supporters crossed their fingers, but Maximiliano Natal was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Delmiro Olando took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Erubiel Conrao, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Erubiel Conrao sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Simon Francis in the 34th minute of play forced Fontezuela's goalkeeper Silvano Caetano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Erubiel Conrao struck a weak shot in the 35th minute. Delmiro Olando didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Fontezuela. Alejandro Licerio kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Fontezuela defense, Ubaldo Txeru kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Silvano Caetano. The Fontezuela fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Silvano Caetano should have stopped the shot. After 41 played minutes Nacimiento got a freekick which was hit by Paolo Raymundo. If Erubiel Conrao had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 44 minutes of play Nacimiento's Simon Francis was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. A collision led to Nacimiento getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Simon Francis hit a great ball.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Erubiel Conrao to strike the kick off in the second half. Delmiro Olando made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leonardo Aznar in the 57th minute of play.
