PUYOL FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Godofredo Franco was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mauro Onofre breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Mauro Onofre showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Godofredo Franco in the 20th minute of the match. Mauro Onofre made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Godofredo Franco in the 31st minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Arizona's zone, Godofredo Franco stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mauro Onofre came out of the goal and Godofredo Franco tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Mauro Onofre showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Teodosio Guillelme, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. Godofredo Franco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mauro Onofre having to interfere. Serafino Fix could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 47th minute of the match, but Denis Efren made a huge save. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jonatan Urbes stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Mauro Onofre showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leopoldo Lorenz, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. After having played for 84 minutes, Jonatan Urbes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Arizona's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jonatan Urbes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Mariano Heriberto kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match.
