Paulo Gonzo struck a weak shot in the 14th minute. Vinicio Venceslas didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for PEÑAROL DE MAR DEL PLATA. Vinicio Venceslas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Paulo Gonzo in the 16th minute of the match. Vinicio Venceslas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Paulo Gonzo, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. In the 23rd minute Humberto Tallia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vinicio Venceslas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Paulo Gonzo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Paulo Gonzo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Vinicio Venceslas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Vinicio Venceslas stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Humberto Tallia's shot from short distance in the 27th minute. 30 minutes in the game, Isaac Che fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Samuel Txeru having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in PEÑAROL DE MAR DEL PLATA's zone, Ubaldo Ihintza stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Samuel Txeru came out of the goal and Ubaldo Ihintza tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Marcial Satordi's late challenge caught a Ombucta FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Marcial Satordi helped the player get up and apologised. After 33 played minutes PEÑAROL DE MAR DEL PLATA got a freekick which was hit by Marcial Satordi. In the 37th minute, Marcial Satordi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 40 minutes PEÑAROL DE MAR DEL PLATA's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Flavio Bernard who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Flavio Bernard almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but PEÑAROL DE MAR DEL PLATA's Samuel Txeru did a great save. In the 42nd minute, Ombucta FC's Ubaldo Ihintza dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0.

Through an outstanding action, after 51 minutes, Vinicio Venceslas successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. If Isaac Che had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Isaac Che sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The supporters of PEÑAROL DE MAR DEL PLATA booed when Ombucta FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. PEÑAROL DE MAR DEL PLATA's Samuel Txeru played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Isaac Che in the 83rd minute of play. If Basilio Bernaldo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Basilio Bernaldo during the 88th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Samuel Txeru made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Isaac Che in the 93rd minute of play. Samuel Txeru took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ubaldo Ihintza, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. PEÑAROL DE MAR DEL PLATA's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
