With a couple of smart ball manuevers Teodosio Salbatore in the 4th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Oscar Maties saved Chinotuerto FC from getting behind. Froilan Curcio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Serafin Baristo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 7 played minutes Patricio Rey got a freekick which was hit by Jesus Hodei. Teodosio Salbatore scored 0-1 in the 11th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Oscar Maties, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Constantino Shantala lost his temper 16 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Patricio Rey fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 15th minute. Penalty! Remigio Donzel who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 29thth minute tested the skills of Froilan Curcio when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After a rather tough play, Patricio Rey's Clemente Gelmiro got a free kick in the 31st minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 34th minute, Emanuel Bras managed to get in a good position for a shot. Patricio Rey's supporters rose to their feet, but Emanuel Bras was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Oscar Maties breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 38th minute, Jesus Hodei got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Jesus Hodei came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the Patricio Rey fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jesus Hodei couldn't finish the play. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Emanuel Bras made a kick off. Patricio Rey's attentive Jesus Hodei managed to snatch the ball when Anibal Che made a throw-in in the 61st minute of the game. Oscar Maties made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jesus Hodei in the 70th minute. 72 minutes into the game, Anibal Che threw the ball into play from the sideline. Patricio Rey's Jesus Hodei quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Clemente Gelmiro hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luis Jaizki in the 76th minute of play forced Patricio Rey's goalkeeper Froilan Curcio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Clemente Gelmiro charged in rather forcefully in the 80th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Clemente Gelmiro the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Froilan Curcio had in the 81stth minute some difficulties stopping Luis Jaizki's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Emanuel Bras struck a weak shot in the 88th minute. Oscar Maties didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Patricio Rey. Jesus Hodei received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Oscar Maties tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Patricio Rey getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Cayetano Sol hit a great ball. If Serafin Baristo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Froilan Curcio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Remigio Donzel, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. Patricio Rey were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
