After having played for 20 minutes, Lucas Mingo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Forzosos del Oeste FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lucas Mingo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Santiago Guillem made an important save on a dangerous shot by Humberto Tallia in the 22nd minute. 24 minutes into the game, Paulo Gonzo recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Santiago Guillem. Paulo Gonzo showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. Samuel Txeru showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ariel Paez, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. In the 37th minute, Marcial Satordi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ariel Paez in the 41st minute of play forced PEÑAROL DE MAR DEL PLATA's goalkeeper Samuel Txeru to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dionisio Mikelats kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. PEÑAROL DE MAR DEL PLATA's Humberto Tallia got a good chance for a goal in the 45th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Santiago Guillem tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Paulo Gonzo was the one to do the kick off. The supporters of PEÑAROL DE MAR DEL PLATA booed when Forzosos del Oeste FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fernan Nicholas didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Lucas Mingo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Humberto Tallia recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. PEÑAROL DE MAR DEL PLATA's Samuel Txeru played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ariel Paez in the 71st minute of play. If Lucas Mingo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 81 minutes, Humberto Tallia managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. With a left leg Santiago Guillem saved Forzosos del Oeste FC from getting behind. Samuel Txeru made a fantastic save in the 92nd minute, when Lucas Mingo sent off a good shot on target. Ariel Paez might have been able to make a better finish in the 94th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Samuel Txeru. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ariel Paez ran back to his position shaking his head. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Forzosos del Oeste FC players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
