Itacaruaré FC's Cornelio Harriet shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 28th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Samuel Txeru but with some difficulty. Itacaruaré FC's Amado Quintyn played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Humberto Tallia in the 32nd minute of play. When the match had gone on for 33 minutes, Igor Gipuzkoa took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Samuel Txeru to make any attempt to save it. Arnaldo Baumer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Samuel Txeru having to interfere. An unexpected shot in the 39th minute by Igor Gipuzkoa got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Amado Quintyn made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Humberto Tallia in the 43rd minute of play. Arnaldo Baumer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Samuel Txeru having to interfere. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Paulo Gonzo was the one to do the kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Igor Gipuzkoa in the 53rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Samuel Txeru prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 53rd match minute, PEÑAROL DE MAR DEL PLATA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marcial Satordi to maneuver through the defense. Igor Gipuzkoa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 56 minutes into the game, Itacaruaré FC's Igor Gipuzkoa nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Amado Quintyn was a little too slow when Paulo Gonzo got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 63rd minute. The score was now 3-1. 66 minutes into the match, PEÑAROL DE MAR DEL PLATA's goal looked a bit too open when Igor Gipuzkoa came free, but Samuel Txeru reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Samuel Txeru showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Igor Gipuzkoa in the 68th minute of the match. 70 minutes into the game, Igor Gipuzkoa cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-1. Samuel Txeru was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Samuel Txeru didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Arnaldo Baumer went, in the 97th minute, to the upper right corner, 7-1 was the resulting score. There was no doubt that Itacaruaré FC were the better team. Itacaruaré FC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
