In the 15th minute of the match, Samuel Iratzeder got a very nice opportunity to score, but Apolo Lorencio was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Apolo Lorencio came out of the goal and Lino Lugo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 29th play minute Samuel Iratzeder came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Apolo Lorencio. 2-0. Arnulfo Ramirez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ciro Oliviero during the 42nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 43 minutes into the match, RIvErPlATE's goal looked a bit too open when Lino Lugo came free, but Apolo Lorencio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cristian Gonsalvo kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. Apolo Lorencio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lino Lugo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Apolo Lorencio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arnulfo Ramirez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Lino Lugo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Apolo Lorencio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lino Lugo in the 67th minute of the match. Lino Lugo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Samuel Iratzeder received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Apolo Lorencio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 84th minute the ball was on its way in behind RIvErPlATE's goalkeeper Apolo Lorencio, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Apolo Lorencio stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Lino Lugo's shot from short distance in the 85th minute. Jaime Edur's late challenge caught a RIvErPlATE's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Orán FC fully deserved thier win.
