Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Santiago Joachim took the kick off in the first half of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Santiago Joachim in the 3rd minute of play forced RIvErPlATE's goalkeeper Apolo Lorencio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ovidio Matteo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Apolo Lorencio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Santiago Joachim took the ball and in the 6 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Apolo Lorencio. Apolo Lorencio dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Apolo Lorencio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ovidio Matteo, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. In the 10th match minute, RIvErPlATE was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Constantino Savion to maneuver through the defense. Remigio Gauargi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Moises Urdin having to interfere. Apolo Lorencio came out of the goal in the 16th minute to try and stop a shot by Iraola's Ovidio Matteo. But to his dismay, Ovidio Matteo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. 20 minutes into the game, Camilo Teodor was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. RIvErPlATE's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Iraola the free kick. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 20th minute of the game. One of RIvErPlATE:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Iraola:s goal. Santiago Joachim recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 24th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Moises Urdin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aureliano Eutropio, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. The supporters of RIvErPlATE booed when Iraola was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Baldomiro Calisto didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 29 played minutes, RIvErPlATE's Camilo Teodor shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Moises Urdin came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in RIvErPlATE reached it. Remigio Gauargi struck a weak shot in the 32nd minute. Moises Urdin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for RIvErPlATE. Remigio Gauargi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Moises Urdin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Ovidio Matteo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Apolo Lorencio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ovidio Matteo in the 40th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Santiago Joachim in the 44th minute of play forced RIvErPlATE's goalkeeper Apolo Lorencio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Ovidio Matteo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Serafino Micael hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. Remigio Gauargi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 55th match minute, Iraola was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Baldomiro Calisto to maneuver through the defense. 61 minutes into the match, Iraola's goal looked a bit too open when Remigio Gauargi came free, but Moises Urdin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Apolo Lorencio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Santiago Joachim in the 66th minute of play. Aureliano Eutropio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Moises Urdin having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Remigio Gauargi in the 76th minute of play forced Iraola's goalkeeper Moises Urdin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ciro Oliviero during the 77th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to RIvErPlATE getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Ciro Oliviero hit a great ball. 80 minutes into the match, RIvErPlATE's goal looked a bit too open when Santiago Joachim came free, but Apolo Lorencio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Moises Urdin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aureliano Eutropio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Remigio Gauargi struck a weak shot in the 86th minute. Moises Urdin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for RIvErPlATE. Santiago Joachim's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Apolo Lorencio read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 89th minute of play. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Iraola had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
