Spectators: 7161 (Terracing: 5356, Seating: 1663, VIP seats: 142) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Dionisio Rolado started the match with the kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Melquiades Stanislao during the 4th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Melquiades Stanislao kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. In the 14th match minute, RIvErPlATE was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Camilo Teodor to maneuver through the defense. Ezequiel Fonso, 15 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. The corner led RIvErPlATE's Benjamin Reno to fire away a dangerous shot which Julian Orlandus despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. After a rather tough play, Iloponom's Americo Francis got a free kick in the 20th minute. In the 24th minute Dionisio Rolado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Apolo Lorencio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Prospero Pacho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Julian Orlandus showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aureliano Eutropio, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. Remigio Gauargi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Julian Orlandus tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 33 played minutes Iloponom got a freekick which was hit by Melquiades Stanislao. Julian Orlandus took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Remigio Gauargi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Prospero Pacho in the 38thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Apolo Lorencio, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. If Prospero Pacho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Prospero Pacho got free with Apolo Lorencio in the 44th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Aureliano Eutropio made a kick off. Aureliano Eutropio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julian Orlandus having to interfere. RIvErPlATE's Apolo Lorencio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Prospero Pacho in the 55th minute of play. In the 57th minute of the match, Aureliano Eutropio tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Julian Orlandus saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Apolo Lorencio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Prospero Pacho in the 60th minute of the match. In the 69th minute, RIvErPlATE's Aureliano Eutropio dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 76th minute, Remigio Gauargi managed to get in a good position for a shot. RIvErPlATE's supporters rose to their feet, but Remigio Gauargi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Julian Orlandus breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to RIvErPlATE getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Arnoldo Salvino hit a great ball. Iloponom's Julian Orlandus played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aureliano Eutropio in the 85th minute of play. After having played for 94 minutes, Cristian Gonsalvo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. RIvErPlATE's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristian Gonsalvo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The RIvErPlATE supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing RIvErPlATE would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
