Cipriano Orti came out of the goal and Gavino Bermudez tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gavino Bermudez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Cipriano Orti tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 24th minute, Gavino Bermudez left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Mervaleta fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. When Mervaleta's Gavino Bermudez in the 31st minute got a chance for a shot 31st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Fages Athletic Club's Leopoldo Jago got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 39th match minute, Mervaleta was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leo Tiadoro to maneuver through the defense. If Gavino Bermudez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Mervaleta booed when Fages Athletic Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Miguel Haritz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

After 52 played minutes Norberto Lehior rounded Fages Athletic Club's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 0-3. After a rather tough play, Fages Athletic Club's Prudencio Rosario got a free kick in the 57th minute. Gavino Bermudez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Cipriano Orti tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 66 minutes, Alvaro Markel mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Fages Athletic Club and the Mervaleta players grew even worse after the yellow card. Gavino Bermudez in the 67thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Cipriano Orti, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Mervaleta's Norberto Lehior got a good chance for a goal in the 71st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 76th minute, Norberto Lehior managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mervaleta's supporters rose to their feet, but Norberto Lehior was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cipriano Orti breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Diego Cordareo hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. 79 minutes into the game, Gavino Bermudez recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Cipriano Orti. Gavino Bermudez showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-5. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gavino Bermudez in the 84th minute of play forced Fages Athletic Club's goalkeeper Cipriano Orti to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Norberto Lehior had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gavino Bermudez in the 89th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cipriano Orti saved Fages Athletic Club from getting behind. A collision led to Fages Athletic Club getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Casimiro Henric hit a great ball. 96 minutes into the match, Fages Athletic Club's goal looked a bit too open when Gavino Bermudez came free, but Cipriano Orti reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
