After 20 minutes, Maximino Frances mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Roosevelt FC and the Laoreo LP players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 20th minute, Maximino Frances hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 30 minutes into the match, Roosevelt FC's goal looked a bit too open when Albino Soin came free, but Rogelio Seber reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Jeremias Ricart had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 34th minute, Albino Soin managed to get in a good position for a shot. Laoreo LP's supporters rose to their feet, but Albino Soin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rogelio Seber breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 34 minutes into the game, Amador Theobald was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Roosevelt FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Laoreo LP the free kick. Amador Theobald kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. Rogelio Seber acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 37th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Cristo Ceandro. Jeremias Ricart could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 39th minute of the match, but Rogelio Seber made a huge save. The crowd rose to their feet as Laoreo LP's Albino Soin slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Rogelio Seber. That made the score 1-0 after 44 minutes of play. After a defensive mix-up in Roosevelt FC's zone, Jeremias Ricart stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rogelio Seber came out of the goal and Jeremias Ricart tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

In the 55th minute Jeremias Ricart shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rogelio Seber saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jeremias Ricart ran back to his position shaking his head.
