Samuel Odon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Feliciano Justin in the 13th minute of play. Florencio Cibran struck a weak shot in the 16th minute. Osvaldo Baudelio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for F.C Luzbelito. Samuel Odon came out of the goal in the 19th minute to try and stop a shot by Animán AFC's Florentino Abeijon. But to his dismay, Florentino Abeijon quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. When Animán AFC's Feliciano Justin in 24 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Samuel Odon guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. Florentino Abeijon recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. F.C Luzbelito's Samuel Odon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Florentino Abeijon in the 28th minute of play. Feliciano Justin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Samuel Odon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Samuel Odon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Florentino Abeijon, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. Feliciano Justin scored 0-2 in the 39th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Samuel Odon, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Feliciano Justin managed to get in a good position for a shot. Animán AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Feliciano Justin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Samuel Odon breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 47th minute the ball was on its way in behind F.C Luzbelito's goalkeeper Samuel Odon, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After the first half Animán AFC were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Antonio Lastur to make the kick off. Florentino Abeijon ran back to his position shaking his head. Antonio Lastur charged in rather forcefully in the 79th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down.
