Primitivo Garci fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedro Ekain having to interfere. Momo Sampler's zone, Primitivo Garci stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pedro Ekain came out of the goal and Primitivo Garci tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 40th minute the ball was on its way in behind C.A. Momo Sampler's goalkeeper Pedro Ekain, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Narciso Jurgi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Teobaldo Raphael in the 44th minute of play.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Alejandro Tximitx stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute, C.A. Momo Sampler's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Cesar Kelemen fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. After 57 played minutes C.A. Momo Sampler got a freekick which was hit by Salvador Tancredo. After recieving a nice pass, Fortuna's Federico Noe tried to score from far away in the 58th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. When Cesar Kelemen came up free with the goalie in the 65th minute, the Fortuna fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cesar Kelemen couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Fortuna booed when C.A. Momo Sampler's Pedro Ekain proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 81st minute of the match, managed to save C.A. Momo Sampler from getting a goal against them. When Cesar Kelemen came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the Fortuna fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cesar Kelemen couldn't finish the play.
