The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Dalmacio Eneto kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Tabaquillo's zone, Adrian Lidon stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Claudio Senio came out of the goal and Adrian Lidon tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 32 minutes into the match, Jacobo Liher notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Tabaquillo's Claudio Senio. Claudio Senio was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 36th minute Bernardo Paublo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Casimiro Lapurdi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 38 minutes DEPORTIVO PROMETEO's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Natalio Ereinotz who took care of the corner kick. Natalio Ereinotz made a great header on Tabaquillo's corner, it was just that DEPORTIVO PROMETEO's Casimiro Lapurdi managed to reach the ball for a save. Daniel Mero fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Casimiro Lapurdi having to interfere. Claudio Senio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adrian Lidon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 48 minutes into the match, Jacobo Liher had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Claudio Senio. Tabaquillo's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jacobo Liher was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Bernardo Paublo to strike the kick off in the second half. When the match clock showed 59 minutes, the score became 1-3 when Bernardo Paublo sped through DEPORTIVO PROMETEO's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Casimiro Lapurdi. If Daniel Mero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 64th minute Jacobo Liher shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Claudio Senio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 70 played minutes, Tabaquillo's Erubiel Vistruario shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Casimiro Lapurdi came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Tabaquillo reached it. If Adrian Lidon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 74th minute Santos Diaz suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. 74 minutes into the game, Manuel Cidro was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Tabaquillo's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave DEPORTIVO PROMETEO the free kick. Manuel Cidro hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. When Adrian Lidon came up free with the goalie in the 77th minute, the DEPORTIVO PROMETEO fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Adrian Lidon couldn't finish the play. Tabaquillo's Samuel Danel suffered a concussion after 83 minutes and had to leave the field. Anselmo Lico's late challenge caught a Tabaquillo's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Anselmo Lico helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to DEPORTIVO PROMETEO getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Anselmo Lico hit a great ball. Anselmo Lico got his second yellow card in the match during the 87th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. In the 89th minute Natalio Ereinotz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Casimiro Lapurdi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dalmacio Eneto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 91st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. DEPORTIVO PROMETEO's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
