Samuel Danel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alfredo Romero having to interfere. Bernardo Paublo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alfredo Romero read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 9th minute of play. Bernardo Paublo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Alfredo Romero having to make a save. Alfredo Romero took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bernardo Paublo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 16 minutes into the match, Tabaquillo's goal looked a bit too open when Gustavo Otsando came free, but Claudio Senio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gustavo Otsando received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Claudio Senio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Tabaquillo's zone, Roque Urtsin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Claudio Senio came out of the goal and Roque Urtsin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Casimiro Sazon fell near the penalty area in the 26th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Boca Jrs's protests and gave Casimiro Sazon a yellow card for diving instead. In the 27th minute, Casimiro Sazon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 28 played minutes Boca Jrs got a freekick which was hit by Tomas Sandaili. Alfredo Romero showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bernardo Paublo in the 35th minute of the match. In the 36th minute the ball was on its way in behind Boca Jrs's goalkeeper Alfredo Romero, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Roque Urtsin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 45th minute, Gustavo Otsando got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Roque Urtsin to make the kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Tabaquillo's goalkeeper Claudio Senio had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gustavo Otsando. After a defensive mix-up in Boca Jrs's zone, Daniel Mero stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alfredo Romero came out of the goal and Daniel Mero tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 59th minute, Serafino Erasto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, Tabaquillo's Claudio Senio got control of the ball when Gustavo Otsando tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of Boca Jrs booed when Tabaquillo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Samuel Danel didn't get a good kick on the ball. Boca Jrs's Casimiro Sazon got his second yellow card of the match in the 79th minute. The referee ordered Casimiro Sazon off the ground. In the 80th match minute, Boca Jrs was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Casimiro Sazon to maneuver through the defense. If Bernardo Paublo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bernardo Paublo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Claudio Senio made a fantastic save in the 90th minute, when Gustavo Otsando sent off a good shot on target. After some careless play in the Boca Jrs defense, Bernardo Paublo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Alfredo Romero. The Boca Jrs fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Alfredo Romero should have stopped the shot. Tabaquillo were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Boca Jrs for a fine match.
