When the match had gone on for 4 minutes, Celestino Beremundo put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Ismael Bertran. If Florentino Federigo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Florentino Federigo charged in rather forcefully in the 11th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Florentino Federigo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 12 played minutes Haikyuu got a freekick which was hit by Florentino Federigo. A sloppy throw-in by Faustino Jerico in the 17th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Haikyuu's Patricio Piarres. 20 minutes into the game, Tiburcio Fraco was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Haikyuu's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Uturango FC the free kick. Leandro Vasco struck a weak shot in the 23rd minute. Ismael Bertran didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Haikyuu. After 25 played minutes Haikyuu got a freekick which was hit by Florentino Federigo. Leandro Vasco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Ismael Bertran tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Leandro Vasco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Celestino Beremundo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ismael Bertran having to interfere. Ismael Bertran took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Patricio Piarres, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 38 minutes into the game, Haikyuu's Celestino Beremundo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ismael Bertran made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. If Celestino Beremundo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, Celestino Beremundo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Haikyuu's supporters rose to their feet, but Celestino Beremundo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ismael Bertran breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in Uturango FC's zone, Alfonso Primo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ismael Bertran came out of the goal and Alfonso Primo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Leandro Vasco to make the kick off. 57 minutes into the match, Uturango FC's goal looked a bit too open when Leandro Vasco came free, but Ismael Bertran reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jacinto Mundo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marco Oliverios, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. Alfonso Primo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ismael Bertran having to interfere. When Alfonso Primo came up free with the goalie in the 66th minute, the Haikyuu fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alfonso Primo couldn't finish the play. After 71 played minutes Uturango FC got a freekick which was hit by Victorio Resto. When Tiburcio Fraco was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 73 minutes had been played. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 73rd minute of the game. One of Haikyuu:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Uturango FC:s goal. The referee gave Uturango FC a penalty, 75 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Godfredo Jaen, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Haikyuu's Jacinto Mundo. 1-2. Ismael Bertran showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alfonso Primo in the 81st minute of the match. In the 83rd minute, Celestino Beremundo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Leopoldo Loco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Ismael Bertran tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Marco Oliverios might have been able to make a better finish in the 91st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jacinto Mundo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Marco Oliverios ran back to his position shaking his head. Celestino Beremundo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ismael Bertran having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Celestino Beremundo kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Ismael Bertran. That made the score 1-3 in the 95 minute of play. Haikyuu's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
