The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Danilo Columbo kicked well hit freekick during the 2nd minute of the match. Geronimo Gelmiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Angelo Oalo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Geronimo Gelmiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Angelo Oalo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Geronimo Gelmiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. Bonifacio Oto hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. Roberto Kimetz took the ball and in the 11 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Angelo Oalo. Angelo Oalo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Angelo Oalo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Geronimo Gelmiro in the 16th minute of play. A collision led to Alteza Balonpie getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Cipriano Herena hit a great ball. If Arsenio Nevada had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Esteban Leobardo was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 28th minute. Lagunillas's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Arsenio Nevada received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Serafin Ladio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Esteban Leobardo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Angelo Oalo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcos Erruki, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. Lagunillas's Angelo Oalo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Geronimo Gelmiro in the 44th minute of play. If Roberto Kimetz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Esteban Leobardo to make the kick off. Angelo Oalo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Geronimo Gelmiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. Serafin Ladio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Esteban Leobardo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 55th minute Arsenio Nevada shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Serafin Ladio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fermin Isadore hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. The audience was convinced that Geronimo Gelmiro's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Angelo Oalo was relentless in the 64th minute of the game. 67 minutes into the match, Esteban Leobardo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Serafin Ladio. Alteza Balonpie's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Esteban Leobardo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. 73 minutes into the game, Geronimo Gelmiro lined in a short shot 1-2 behind a frustrated Angelo Oalo. After 77 played minutes Lagunillas got a freekick which was hit by Bonifacio Oto. Angelo Oalo made a fantastic save in the 79th minute, when Roberto Kimetz sent off a good shot on target. Esteban Leobardo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alteza Balonpie's Serafin Ladio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arsenio Nevada in the 82nd minute of play. Roberto Kimetz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Angelo Oalo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Geronimo Gelmiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Lagunillas's zone, Roberto Kimetz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Angelo Oalo came out of the goal and Roberto Kimetz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Roberto Kimetz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Alteza Balonpie eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
