The tension between the Lagunillas and the Rafaela players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Rafaela booed when Lagunillas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Isaac Egoi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Damaso Rameriz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Angelo Oalo having to interfere. In the 13th match minute, Rafaela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gaston Chepe to maneuver through the defense. Juan Dantae fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Angelo Oalo having to interfere. Angelo Oalo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Juan Dantae in the 24th minute of the match. Arsenio Nevada struck a weak shot in the 26th minute. Dario Harkaitz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lagunillas. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, Juan Dantae managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rafaela's supporters rose to their feet, but Juan Dantae was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Angelo Oalo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Lagunillas's Teofilo Corderall got a free kick in the 36th minute. In the 39th minute of the match Isaac Egoi sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Dario Harkaitz skillfully saved the ball. When Teofilo Corderall fell near the penalty area in the 40th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Lagunillas's protests and gave Teofilo Corderall a yellow card for diving instead. Teofilo Corderall kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Juan Dantae stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Lagunillas getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Bonifacio Oto hit a great ball. Dario Harkaitz was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Esteban Leobardo showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-1 in the 54 minute of play. If Damaso Rameriz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Leo Raymundo during the 61st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Leo Raymundo kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. 62 minutes into the game, Esteban Leobardo recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Dario Harkaitz. Angelo Oalo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Damaso Rameriz in the 85th minute of play. Angelo Oalo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Juan Dantae, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Damaso Rameriz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the Lagunillas defense, Juan Dantae kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Angelo Oalo. The Lagunillas fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Angelo Oalo should have stopped the shot. Lagunillas's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
