Lagunillas's supporters rose to their feet, but Esteban Leobardo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fabian Blasi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Marcial Goi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Lagunillas's zone, Guillermo Firmo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Angelo Oalo came out of the goal and Guillermo Firmo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Chacabuco booed when Lagunillas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bonifacio Oto didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bruno Ralondo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Danilo Columbo charged in rather forcefully in the 23rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Danilo Columbo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 23 played minutes Lagunillas got a freekick which was hit by Danilo Columbo. Bonifacio Oto kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. In the 28th match minute, Lagunillas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bonifacio Oto to maneuver through the defense. 38 minutes into the match, Chacabuco's goal looked a bit too open when Esteban Leobardo came free, but Fabian Blasi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Chacabuco's Leonardo Roland got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Chacabuco's Fabian Blasi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arsenio Nevada in the 46th minute of play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Marcial Goi stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Lagunillas's zone, Guillermo Firmo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Angelo Oalo came out of the goal and Guillermo Firmo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Marcial Goi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Angelo Oalo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Marcial Goi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Angelo Oalo having to interfere. Guillermo Firmo struck a weak shot in the 59th minute. Angelo Oalo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Chacabuco. Teofilo Corderall hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. Guillermo Firmo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Angelo Oalo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Guillermo Firmo in the 67th minute of the match. 70 minutes into the match, Chacabuco's goal looked a bit too open when Esteban Leobardo came free, but Fabian Blasi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Bruno Ralondo during the 84th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Chacabuco getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Bruno Ralondo hit a great ball. After having played for 86 minutes, Arsenio Nevada managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lagunillas's supporters crossed their fingers, but Arsenio Nevada was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Fabian Blasi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Esteban Leobardo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcial Goi in the 93rd minute of play forced Lagunillas's goalkeeper Angelo Oalo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
