Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Palermo FC's Emiliano Cordera started the match with a crisp pass. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Emiliano Cordera recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 17th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Christian Lain blasted a shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jacinto Mundo having to make a save. After some fancy dribbling in the 23rd minute, Christian Lain managed to get in a good position for a shot. Palermo FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Christian Lain was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jacinto Mundo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emiliano Cordera in the 25th minute of play forced Haikyuu's goalkeeper Jacinto Mundo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Emiliano Cordera recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jacinto Mundo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emiliano Cordera, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. Florentino Federigo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Felix Conrao having to interfere. Felix Conrao took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Florentino Federigo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Haikyuu's zone, Christian Lain stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jacinto Mundo came out of the goal and Christian Lain tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Florentino Federigo was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leandro Vasco in the 52nd minute of play forced Palermo FC's goalkeeper Felix Conrao to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 52nd minute, Leandro Vasco ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Felix Conrao was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Jacinto Mundo was out of position in the 56 minute of play, and Emiliano Cordera capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Emiliano Cordera really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. Leandro Vasco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Felix Conrao having to interfere. Felix Conrao stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Florentino Federigo's shot from short distance in the 65th minute. Cleto Piarres kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Palermo FC's zone, Leandro Vasco stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Felix Conrao came out of the goal and Leandro Vasco tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cleto Piarres charged in rather forcefully in the 71st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cleto Piarres the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Cleto Piarres kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. Leopoldo Loco kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. If Emiliano Cordera had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Haikyuu's Jacinto Mundo got control of the ball when Christian Lain tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 78th minute, Florentino Federigo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Felix Conrao was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. Florentino Federigo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Felix Conrao having to interfere. After having played for 87 minutes, Florentino Federigo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Haikyuu's supporters crossed their fingers, but Florentino Federigo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Thanks to some nice moves Christian Lain could shoot a difficult shot in the 90th minute, which Jacinto Mundo however easily saved by the left post. Jacinto Mundo was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Emiliano Cordera showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-2 in the 91 minute of play. After 95 minutes, Mauricio Eleder mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Palermo FC and the Haikyuu players grew even worse after the yellow card.
