The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Amador Henrico made a kick off. Pueblo's Amador Henrico got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 52 minutes into the match, Pueblo's Amador Henrico sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Zacarias Abeijon narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Toay's Zacarias Abeijon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Amador Henrico in the 55th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Pueblo's zone, Domingos Suero stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gilberto Valerio came out of the goal and Domingos Suero tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Tomás Astudillo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gilberto Valerio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomás Astudillo in the 68th minute of the match. Tomás Astudillo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gilberto Valerio having to interfere. 78 minutes into the game, Lorenzo Hernandez was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Pueblo's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Toay the free kick. Domingos Suero who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 92ndth minute tested the skills of Gilberto Valerio when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Esteban Oxarra received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Gilberto Valerio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Pueblo players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
