Patricio Porfiro's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cornelio Salomon read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 7th minute of play. 10 minutes into the game, ZAMPABLO's Desiderio Acevedo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Teodoro Otsoko made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Silverio Demesio hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. After 16 played minutes Empedrado got a freekick which was hit by Rodrigo Bibiano. In the 16th minute of the match Fausto Guzman sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Teodoro Otsoko skillfully saved the ball. Everardo Cordeiro's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Teodoro Otsoko read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 18th minute of play. Thanks to some nice moves Silverio Demesio could shoot a difficult shot in the 23rd minute, which Teodoro Otsoko however easily saved by the left post. After 24 minutes, Everardo Cordeiro mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the ZAMPABLO and the Empedrado players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to ZAMPABLO getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Everardo Cordeiro hit a great ball. The supporters of Empedrado booed when ZAMPABLO was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Baldomero Ireno didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cornelio Salomon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Patricio Porfiro in the 39th minute of play. In the 42nd minute Fernando Bertin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cornelio Salomon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 43rdth minute of the game Fernando Bertin who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but ZAMPABLO's Cornelio Salomon was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Desiderio Acevedo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Teodoro Otsoko tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Everardo Cordeiro stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, ZAMPABLO's Baldomero Ireno got a free kick in the 52nd minute. Patricio Porfiro blasted a shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Cornelio Salomon having to make a save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Fernando Bertin in the 57th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cornelio Salomon prevented the ball from getting in the gole. During the 62nd minute of the match Everardo Cordeiro completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Everardo Cordeiro a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. A collision led to ZAMPABLO getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Everardo Cordeiro hit a great ball. Patricio Porfiros short, quick shot in the 64thth minute got Cornelio Salomon to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Cornelio Salomon made an important save on a dangerous shot by Patricio Porfiro in the 66th minute. Patricio Porfiro struck a weak shot in the 73rd minute. Cornelio Salomon didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Empedrado. 76 minutes into the match, Desiderio Acevedo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Teodoro Otsoko. Empedrado's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Desiderio Acevedo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. ZAMPABLO's Desiderio Acevedo got a good chance for a goal in the 79th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Fernando Bertin could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 85th minute of the match, but Cornelio Salomon made a huge save. Desiderio Acevedo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 90th minute, Silverio Demesio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 91st minute, Rodrigo Bibiano sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and ZAMPABLO's Cornelio Salomon didn't even have to move.
