Haroldo Gomesano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bruno Telmo having to interfere. Cornelio Gilesindo kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. Unión's Ladislao Flor played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Severo Sandaili in the 18th minute of play. 25 minutes into the match, Unión's goal looked a bit too open when Atilano Ticho came free, but Ladislao Flor reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 32nd minute, Haroldo Gomesano got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 37 minutes into the game, Unión's Felix Ortle nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Bruno Telmo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. If Atilano Ticho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Unión's Felix Ortle in the 50th minute got a chance for a shot 50th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Merayo's goalie prevented a goal. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The wind increased when Atilano Ticho made the kick off in the second half. When the match had gone on for 54 minutes, Severo Sandaili took a quick shot and it went in 2-1 without a chance for Ladislao Flor to make any attempt to save it. Severo Sandaili sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Severo Sandaili got free with Ladislao Flor in the 79th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Felix Ortle received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Bruno Telmo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Haroldo Gomesano in the 85th minute of play forced Merayo's goalkeeper Bruno Telmo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Haroldo Gomesano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bruno Telmo having to interfere. Unión's Felix Ortle got a good chance for a goal in the 97th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Severo Sandaili had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 99th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. For all the effort they put into the match, the Merayo players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Unión.
