After some fancy dribbling in the 11th minute, Alvaro Benet managed to get in a good position for a shot. Celeste y Oro's supporters rose to their feet, but Alvaro Benet was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jeronimo Dantae breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 12th match minute, Azul y Oro was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edgard Ixidor to maneuver through the defense. When Laureano Millan came up free with the goalie in the 15th minute, the Celeste y Oro fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Laureano Millan couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alvaro Benet in the 22nd minute of play forced Azul y Oro's goalkeeper Jeronimo Dantae to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Laureano Millan in the 23rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jeronimo Dantae saved Azul y Oro from getting behind. After a defensive mix-up in Azul y Oro's zone, Alvaro Benet stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jeronimo Dantae came out of the goal and Alvaro Benet tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Celeste y Oro booed when Azul y Oro was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edgard Ixidor didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alvaro Benet in the 26th minute of play forced Azul y Oro's goalkeeper Jeronimo Dantae to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Alvaro Benet had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Alvaro Benet, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 36 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Jeronimo Dantae was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. In the 37th minute Laureano Millan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jeronimo Dantae saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Honorato Evarado to make the kick off. After recieving a nice pass, Azul y Oro's Gonzalo Raymundo tried to score from far away in the 64th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Alvaro Benet received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Jeronimo Dantae tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 71 minutes into the match, Azul y Oro's goal looked a bit too open when Alvaro Benet came free, but Jeronimo Dantae reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jeronimo Dantae made a fantastic save in the 88th minute, when Laureano Millan sent off a good shot on target. Eugenio Silbestre charged in rather forcefully in the 92nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Celeste y Oro were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
