Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Barreal's Anibal Iaki started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 21st minute, Leandro Paredes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Simon Favila fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Neymar Junior having to interfere. Samuel Furman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anibal Iaki in the 26th minute of play. If Laureano Loco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 40th minute, Simon Favila got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Rigoberto Macario took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 43rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Neymar Junior. Barreal's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Laureano Loco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Neymar Junior tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 46th minute, Simon Favila got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After the first half Barreal were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Simon Favila stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Neymar Junior showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Laureano Loco, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. Samuel Furman was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Anibal Iaki showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-2 in the 56 minute of play. In the 61st minute of the match, Arnoldo Ioritz got a very nice opportunity to score, but Samuel Furman was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Simon Favila sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 64 minutes into the game, Cuervos's Simon Favila nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Neymar Junior made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. After 68 minutes, Serafino Sayvion mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cuervos and the Barreal players grew even worse after the yellow card. If Teodosio Mercurio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Arnoldo Ioritz's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Samuel Furman read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 75th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 82nd minute, Laureano Loco managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cuervos's supporters rose to their feet, but Laureano Loco was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Neymar Junior breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Laureano Loco might have been able to make a better finish in the 94th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Neymar Junior. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Laureano Loco ran back to his position shaking his head.
