Antonio Mikelar was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Gilberto Dalmu had in the 57thth minute some difficulties stopping Arnoldo Dominguez's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. In the 64th minute, Higinio Olayo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to casi 11 getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Arnoldo Dominguez hit a great ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alvaro Sarracino during the 76th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 77th match minute, Talleres was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alvaro Sarracino to maneuver through the defense.
