With a left leg Silvio Blai saved Arerunguá from getting behind. When Nereo Transito fell near the penalty area in the 10th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Arerunguá's protests and gave Nereo Transito a yellow card for diving instead. After 10 played minutes Arerunguá got a freekick which was hit by Nereo Transito. Mariano Cordarin hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. Lucio Museth received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Silvio Blai tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Lucio Museth had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Arerunguá's zone, Domingos Ladio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Silvio Blai came out of the goal and Domingos Ladio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Sharks's Domingos Ladio in the 33rd minute got a chance for a shot 33rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Arerunguá's goalie prevented a goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 34th minute, Gonzalo Cibran managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sharks's supporters rose to their feet, but Gonzalo Cibran was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Silvio Blai breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The Sharks fans' excitement grew in the 36th match minute when Sharks's Lucio Museth looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Nereo Transito kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. The supporters of Arerunguá booed when Sharks was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gonzalo Cibran didn't get a good kick on the ball. Amador Federigo charged in rather forcefully in the 47th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Amador Federigo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Sharks's Amador Federigo got a free kick in the 47th minute.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Faustino Joachim to make the kick off. Mariano Cordarin took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 62nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Silvio Blai. Arerunguá's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 64 minutes into the match, Sharks's goal looked a bit too open when Nereo Transito came free, but Arnoldo Izotz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 76 minutes, Domingos Ladio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sharks's supporters crossed their fingers, but Domingos Ladio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Arerunguá's zone, Aristides Cibran stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Silvio Blai came out of the goal and Aristides Cibran tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 86th minute, Domingos Ladio left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sharks fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-4. Gonzalo Cibran could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 90th minute of the match, but Silvio Blai made a huge save. When Lucio Museth came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the Sharks fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lucio Museth couldn't finish the play. Arnoldo Izotz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Prudencio Txordon in the 97th minute of play.
