A very good chance. 1-0 became the score in the 39th minute when Edgard Breogan elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Guaberto Jaen charged in rather forcefully in the 43rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Guaberto Jaen the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. When the match had been going on for 44 minutes, Talleres's Lino Gervaso got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Silvio Blai. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Augusto Alfonso recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Horacio Etxepare's late challenge caught a Arerunguá's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Horacio Etxepare helped the player get up and apologised. Horacio Etxepare kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. 62 minutes into the match, Faustino Joachim dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Gilberto Dalmu, 2-1. Teodoro Urtsin hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. Edgard Breogan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Silvio Blai having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Talleres's zone, Augusto Alfonso stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gilberto Dalmu came out of the goal and Augusto Alfonso tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Augusto Alfonso struck a weak shot in the 91st minute. Gilberto Dalmu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Arerunguá. Silvio Blai came out of the goal in the 94th minute to try and stop a shot by Talleres's Edgard Breogan. But to his dismay, Edgard Breogan quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1.
