Spectators: 7197 (Terracing: 5399, Seating: 1655, VIP seats: 143) Faustino Joachim started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. After having played for 4 minutes, Ermegildo Dominix managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Club Atletico Contard's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ermegildo Dominix was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Arerunguá's zone, Leopoldo Rafel stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Silvio Blai came out of the goal and Leopoldo Rafel tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 11 minutes into the game, Guaberto Jaen was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Arerunguá's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Club Atletico Contard the free kick. A collision led to Arerunguá getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Guaberto Jaen hit a great ball. If Ermegildo Dominix had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Silvio Blai showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ermegildo Dominix in the 15th minute of the match. Augusto Alfonso recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 17th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 23rd minute, Nereo Transito managed to get in a good position for a shot. Arerunguá's supporters rose to their feet, but Nereo Transito was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Benedicto Laurentzi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 24th minute, Arerunguá's Faustino Joachim ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Benedicto Laurentzi. Benedicto Laurentzi yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. After 30 played minutes Arerunguá got a freekick which was hit by Fermin Mikeldi. Leopoldo Rafel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Silvio Blai tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Club Atletico Contard booed when Arerunguá was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hermengildo Bastiaro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Ermegildo Dominix blasted a shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Silvio Blai having to make a save. Arerunguá's Augusto Alfonso got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Gaspar Lluques kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. Faustino Joachim sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Faustino Joachim recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 77th minute, Faustino Joachim managed to get in a good position for a shot. Arerunguá's supporters rose to their feet, but Faustino Joachim was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Benedicto Laurentzi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Benedicto Laurentzi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Augusto Alfonso in the 80th minute of play. Benedicto Laurentzi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Faustino Joachim in the 82nd minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Prudencio Txordon during the 86th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Club Atletico Contard booed when Arerunguá was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Prudencio Txordon didn't get a good kick on the ball. Benedicto Laurentzi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Faustino Joachim, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. The Club Atletico Contard supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Club Atletico Contard would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
