With a couple of smart ball manuevers Guillermo Danel in the 18th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lucio Oroitz saved CURAHEE FC from getting behind. In the 19th minute Guillermo Danel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lucio Oroitz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Niupi FC getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Guillermo Danel hit a great ball. After 28 minutes, Daniel Chorache mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Niupi FC and the CURAHEE FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 29th minute, Daniel Chorache hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Lucio Oroitz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Simon Flor, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. Lucio Oroitz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Guillermo Danel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Silvano Eztebe was the one to do the kick off. Niupi FC's Simon Flor got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Lucio Oroitz was a little too slow when Guillermo Danel got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 61st minute. The score was now 0-3. Edgardo Taurino came out of the goal in the 64th minute to try and stop a shot by CURAHEE FC's Isidro Filipo. But to his dismay, Isidro Filipo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. If Isidro Filipo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. David Clis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Guillermo Danels short, quick shot in the 73rdth minute got Lucio Oroitz to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in.
