Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Metán AFC's Alberto Vela started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 4th minute, Leonardo Chayo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Leonardo Chayo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 7th minute of the match, but Sixto Sal made a huge save. Leonardo Chayo who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 11thth minute tested the skills of Sixto Sal when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Leonardo Chayo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Sixto Sal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Alberto Vela came up free with the goalie in the 19th minute, the Metán AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alberto Vela couldn't finish the play. Valentin Nesto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcelino Delfino having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Metán AFC's zone, Orlando Arnas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marcelino Delfino came out of the goal and Orlando Arnas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Genaro Eguzki kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. In the 31st minute the ball was on its way in behind Merced's goalkeeper Sixto Sal, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Alberto Vela fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sixto Sal having to interfere. Alberto Vela received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Sixto Sal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Metán AFC's Eduardo Lizardi got a free kick in the 38th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Angelo Rencio in the 42nd minute of play forced Metán AFC's goalkeeper Marcelino Delfino to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 43rd match minute, Metán AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eduardo Lizardi to maneuver through the defense. In the 45th minute, Leonardo Chayo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Metán AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Celso Erramu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Sixto Sal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Valentin Nesto hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. Leonardo Chayo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sixto Sal having to interfere. 62 minutes into the game, Genaro Eguzki was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Metán AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Merced the free kick. After 63 played minutes Metán AFC got a freekick which was hit by Genaro Eguzki. Sixto Sal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alberto Vela, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. Alberto Vela received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Sixto Sal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sixto Sal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leonardo Chayo in the 73rd minute of the match. Alberto Vela received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Sixto Sal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alberto Vela struck a weak shot in the 78th minute. Sixto Sal didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Metán AFC. Sixto Sal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leonardo Chayo in the 80th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Leonardo Chayo in the 85th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sixto Sal saved Merced from getting behind. In the 87thth minute of the game Leonardo Chayo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Merced's Sixto Sal was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Bernardino Bonadona took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 89th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Sixto Sal. Merced's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Leonardo Chayo hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. If Alberto Vela had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Alberto Vela came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the Metán AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alberto Vela couldn't finish the play. 99 minutes into the match, Merced's goal looked a bit too open when Alberto Vela came free, but Sixto Sal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Metán AFC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Merced had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
