He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Edgardo Taurino. Edgardo Taurino showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ernesto Fernandez in the 18th minute of the match. Ernesto Fernandez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edgardo Taurino having to interfere. The referee gave Molle FC a penalty, 25 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Gervasio Ospetsu, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Niupi FC's Edgardo Taurino. 2-0. Cosme Rosio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee ignored Molle FC's protests and gave Tomas Rivas a yellow card for diving instead. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The audience was convinced that Guillermo Danel's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Americo Azibar was relentless in the 51st minute of the game. If Guillermo Danel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
