Sixto Sal dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Orlando Paez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sixto Sal having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Luis Gurutz during the 10th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Luis Gurutz kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. 12 minutes into the match, Orlando Paez notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Merced's Sixto Sal. Sixto Sal was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Orlando Paez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristo Enol in the 17th minute of play forced Merced's goalkeeper Sixto Sal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Cristo Enol had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Orlando Paez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Sixto Sal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sixto Sal came out of the goal in the 30th minute to try and stop a shot by NEUQUÉN ATL's Orlando Paez. But to his dismay, Orlando Paez quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. A collision led to NEUQUÉN ATL getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Bernardino Sayveon hit a great ball. Cristo Enol fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sixto Sal having to interfere. Sixto Sal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Orlando Paez in the 42nd minute of play. Orlando Paez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 48th minute, Cristo Enol made a precise shot to the right of Sixto Sal. Merced's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-4. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

In the 57th minute, Orlando Paez got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Sixto Sal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristo Enol in the 64th minute of the match. In the 66th minute NEUQUÉN ATL were awarded a corner. Jonatan Damario went to the cornerflag to take it. NEUQUÉN ATL's Luciano Bela was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Sixto Sal in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. NEUQUÉN ATL's Luciano Bela was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 67th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Sixto Sal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristo Enol in the 83rd minute of the match. Orlando Paez took the ball and in the 85 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Sixto Sal. Sixto Sal dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-6. The crowd rose to their feet as NEUQUÉN ATL's Bernardino Sayveon slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Sixto Sal. That made the score 0-7 after 88 minutes of play. 94 minutes into the match, NEUQUÉN ATL's goal looked a bit too open when Gualterio Heli came free, but Lucio Romelio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 97 minutes of play, NEUQUÉN ATL's Orlando Paez made it 0-8 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Sixto Sal was left in no man's land by his defense there! NEUQUÉN ATL's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
