The shot was stopped by Faustino Gaizkine but with some difficulty. Braulio Llanos could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 6th minute of the match, but Faustino Gaizkine made a huge save. Abel Porfirio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Estudiantes de la palta's zone, Genaro Hermon stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Melquiades Paez came out of the goal and Genaro Hermon tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 14 played minutes Estudiantes de la palta got a freekick which was hit by Aurelio Filipo. Manantiales Junior FC's Narciso Michael couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 15th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Estudiantes de la palta. In the 21st minute, Roberto Lluis got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 27 minutes, Aquiles Martino mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Manantiales Junior FC and the Estudiantes de la palta players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 27th minute, one of Manantiales Junior FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Manantiales Junior FC. Estudiantes de la palta's Melquiades Paez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abel Porfirio in the 37th minute of play. Abel Porfirio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Melquiades Paez having to interfere. In a very dangerous position, a player in Manantiales Junior FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 42nd minute. Penalty! The goalkeeper, Faustino Gaizkine, was totally fooled by Estudiantes de la palta's Joaquin Sayvion, who 44 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Roberto Lluis made a kick off. In the 53rd minute there was a penalty for Estudiantes de la palta. Joaquin Sayvion stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Faustino Gaizkine. 3-0. In the last second Melquiades Paez throw himself and got hold of the ball when Genaro Hermon in the 57thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. 59 minutes into the game, Ezequiel Abascal was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Manantiales Junior FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Estudiantes de la palta the free kick. In the 59th match minute, Manantiales Junior FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ezequiel Abascal to maneuver through the defense. If Roberto Lluis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 66th minute, Adan Asur hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Genaro Hermon might have been able to make a better finish in the 70th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Melquiades Paez. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Genaro Hermon ran back to his position shaking his head. Abel Porfirio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Melquiades Paez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Estudiantes de la palta were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest.
