After a defensive mix-up in Monterroca's zone, Timoteo Escobar stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Luciano Fertus came out of the goal and Timoteo Escobar tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Horacio Paublo fell near the penalty area in the 19th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Monterroca's protests and gave Horacio Paublo a yellow card for diving instead. Camilo Che sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Durazno FC's Eduardo Giro got a good chance for a goal in the 27th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Eduardo Giro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luciano Fertus made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eduardo Giro in the 31st minute of play. Timoteo Escobar in the 36thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Luciano Fertus, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. 46 minutes into the match, Monterroca's Alejo Betadur sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Marcelo Gorka narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Camilo Che ran back to his position shaking his head. Marcelo Gorka showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alejo Betadur, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alejo Betadur in the 64th minute of play forced Durazno FC's goalkeeper Marcelo Gorka to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marcelo Gorka took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alejo Betadur, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luciano Fertus showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Timoteo Escobar in the 72nd minute of the match. Timoteo Escobar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Camilo Che who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 76thth minute tested the skills of Marcelo Gorka when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After 77 played minutes Durazno FC got a freekick which was hit by Hernan Chinto. If Alejo Betadur had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Camilo Che struck a weak shot in the 84th minute. Marcelo Gorka didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Monterroca. Camilo Che blasted a shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Marcelo Gorka having to make a save. If Camilo Che had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 98th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
