The tension between the Real Bañiles and the Grasshopper FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Cesar Hitz hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. In the 5th minute of the match, Celestino Fresco got a very nice opportunity to score, but Remigio Sandalio was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Remigio Sandalio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Camilo Pereyra in the 12th minute of play. In the 16th minute Camilo Pereyra shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Remigio Sandalio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 16th match minute, Real Bañiles was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Roberto Etxahun to maneuver through the defense. In a very dangerous position, a player in Real Bañiles fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 20th minute. Penalty! The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Camilo Pereyra during the 25th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Grasshopper FC getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Camilo Pereyra hit a great ball. In the 28th match minute, Grasshopper FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edelmiro Soter to maneuver through the defense. In the 32nd minute, Edelmiro Soter hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Luisito Ongile to strike the kick off in the second half. Real Bañiles's Remigio Sandalio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eloy Evarado in the 61st minute of play. Roberto Etxahun kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Celestino Fresco in the 66th minute of play forced Real Bañiles's goalkeeper Remigio Sandalio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Real Bañiles's Roberto Etxahun got a free kick in the 68th minute. Remigio Sandalio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adrian Haimar in the 70th minute of play. Remigio Sandalio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eloy Evarado, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Celestino Fresco in the 74th minute of play forced Real Bañiles's goalkeeper Remigio Sandalio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gonzalo Pierres hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. In the 81st match minute, Real Bañiles was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eustacio Bazil to maneuver through the defense. After some careless play in the Grasshopper FC defense, Bernabe Montrell kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Federico Precioso. The Grasshopper FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Federico Precioso should have stopped the shot. After 95 minutes of play, Grasshopper FC's Celestino Fresco made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Remigio Sandalio was left in no man's land by his defense there! Grasshopper FC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
