Calmayo FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Baldomero Giraldo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Severo Batista succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-0 in the 15th playminute. Eustacio Bazil's late challenge caught a Calmayo FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Eustacio Bazil helped the player get up and apologised. In the 25th minute, Leon Hug got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 26 minutes of play Real Bañiles's Eustacio Bazil was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. A collision led to Real Bañiles getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Eustacio Bazil hit a great ball. The supporters of Calmayo FC booed when Real Bañiles was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Candido Gonzalez didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 32nd minute of the match Robustiano Peio shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Remigio Sandalio showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 36th match minute, Real Bañiles was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Severo Batista to maneuver through the defense. It was beautiful to see Calmayo FC's Silverio Igon in action when he in the 38th minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! In the 42nd minute, Leon Hug ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Remigio Sandalio was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. The audience was convinced that Baldomero Giraldo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Remigio Sandalio was relentless in the 47th minute of the game.

The wind increased when Luisito Ongile made the kick off in the second half. In the 60th minute Leon Hug shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Remigio Sandalio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The coaching staff of Real Bañiles protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Cirilo Cordarryl had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. 79 minutes into the game, one of Real Bañiles:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. When the match had been going on for 82 minutes, Calmayo FC's Silverio Igon got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Remigio Sandalio. Roque Duarte fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Remigio Sandalio having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Real Bañiles's Severo Batista got a free kick in the 87th minute. 90 minutes into the match, Real Bañiles's Candido Gonzalez sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Mauro Guillelmo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Leon Hug sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 96 played minutes Calmayo FC got a freekick which was hit by Fabio Jusepe. Calmayo FC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
