La Cara's Jonas Nuno played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eloy Evarado in the 4th minute of play. 6 minutes into the match, Celestino Fresco had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jonas Nuno. La Cara's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Celestino Fresco was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. 11 minutes into the match, La Cara's goal looked a bit too open when Eloy Evarado came free, but Jonas Nuno reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Grasshopper FC booed when La Cara was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Raimundo Benvide didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience was convinced that Eloy Evarado's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jonas Nuno was relentless in the 13th minute of the game. Jonas Nuno stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Eloy Evarado's shot from short distance in the 25th minute. In the 26th minute Celestino Fresco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonas Nuno saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Celestino Fresco in the 28th minute of play forced La Cara's goalkeeper Jonas Nuno to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. La Cara's Florentino Ariando got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jonas Nuno took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Celestino Fresco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jonas Nuno showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eloy Evarado, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute.

The wind increased when Abelardo Theodore made the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Florentino Ariando notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Grasshopper FC's Federico Precioso. Federico Precioso was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Federico Precioso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Florentino Ariando, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. When Abelardo Theodore came up free with the goalie in the 57th minute, the La Cara fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Abelardo Theodore couldn't finish the play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Celestino Fresco got free with Jonas Nuno in the 70th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Eloy Evarado succeeded in the game's 71st minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-3. After a defensive mix-up in Grasshopper FC's zone, Florentino Ariando stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Federico Precioso came out of the goal and Florentino Ariando tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 77th minute, Florentino Ariando got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Celestino Fresco could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 84th minute of the match, but Jonas Nuno made a huge save. Abelardo Theodore fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Federico Precioso having to interfere. Jonas Nuno took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eloy Evarado, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
