The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Flavio Tiadoro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Mauro Guillelmo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Enrique Kepa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leon Hug, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 14 minutes into the game, Gavino Frutos recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Mauro Guillelmo. Gavino Frutos showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Mauro Guillelmo was a little too slow when Gavino Frutos got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 28th minute. The score was now 2-0. A collision led to Calmayo FC getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Cirilo Bemabe hit a great ball. In the 34th match minute, Calmayo FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cirilo Bemabe to maneuver through the defense. 35 minutes into the match, Cochagual's Luciano Savier broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Mauro Guillelmo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gavino Frutos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mauro Guillelmo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gavino Frutos in the 48th minute of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gavino Frutos to strike the kick off in the second half. After having played for 67 minutes, Leon Hug managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Calmayo FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Leon Hug was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Baldomero Giraldo might have been able to make a better finish in the 68th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Enrique Kepa. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Baldomero Giraldo ran back to his position shaking his head. The audience thought a goal was coming when Baldomero Giraldo got free with Enrique Kepa in the 70th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Flavio Tiadoro took the ball and in the 72 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Mauro Guillelmo. Mauro Guillelmo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gavino Frutos in the 76th minute of play forced Calmayo FC's goalkeeper Mauro Guillelmo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Baldomero Giraldo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Leon Hug fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Enrique Kepa having to interfere. Cirilo Bemabe hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. Edelmiro Venceslao struck a weak shot in the 93rd minute. Mauro Guillelmo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cochagual. Enrique Kepa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leon Hug in the 96th minute of the match. Calmayo FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
