With a left leg Francisco Hegoi saved Resistencia from getting behind. Resistencia's Francisco Hegoi proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 16th minute of the match, managed to save Resistencia from getting a goal against them. COLON SFFC's Jimeno Curcio managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Hipolito Manni in the 18 minute of the game. Severino Deunoro might have been able to make a better finish in the 19th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Francisco Hegoi. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Severino Deunoro ran back to his position shaking his head. 21 minutes into the match, COLON SFFC's Severino Deunoro sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Francisco Hegoi narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 24th minute, Tadeo Birjaio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the match had gone on for 26 minutes, Severino Deunoro put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Francisco Hegoi. 28 minutes into the game, Federico Caetano was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Resistencia's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave COLON SFFC the free kick. A collision led to Resistencia getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Federico Caetano hit a great ball. When the match had gone on for 34 minutes, Severino Deunoro put it in 3-0 from a short distance just to the right of Francisco Hegoi. When Severino Deunoro fell near the penalty area in the 37th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored COLON SFFC's protests and gave Severino Deunoro a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, COLON SFFC's Severino Deunoro got a free kick in the 37th minute. When Severino Deunoro came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the COLON SFFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Severino Deunoro couldn't finish the play. When Federico Caetano was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 40 minutes had been played. In the 41st minute, Federico Caetano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Francisco Hegoi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aureliano Llorian in the 43rd minute of play. Francisco Hegoi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jimeno Curcio in the 45th minute of the match. After 49 minutes, Severino Deunoro made it 4-0 with a short kick to the right side. Resistencia's Francisco Hegoi tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Omar Grabiel made a kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 55th minute, Tadeo Birjaio managed to get in a good position for a shot. COLON SFFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Tadeo Birjaio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Francisco Hegoi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 60thth minute of the game Severino Deunoro who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Resistencia's Francisco Hegoi was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Tadeo Birjaio struck a weak shot in the 61st minute. Francisco Hegoi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for COLON SFFC. Francisco Hegoi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Severino Deunoro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to COLON SFFC getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Aureliano Llorian hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Resistencia's Emilio Pacifico got a free kick in the 69th minute. When Tadeo Birjaio came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the COLON SFFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tadeo Birjaio couldn't finish the play. Severino Deunoro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 75 minutes into the match, Resistencia's goal looked a bit too open when Severino Deunoro came free, but Francisco Hegoi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jimeno Curcio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Francisco Hegoi having to interfere. In the 84th minute, Jimeno Curcio ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Francisco Hegoi was frozen by the shot and now it was 7-0. Severino Deunoro might have been able to make a better finish in the 89th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Francisco Hegoi. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Severino Deunoro ran back to his position shaking his head. With a little luck, COLON SFFC's Federico Lekubegi got control of the ball when Omar Grabiel tried to sneak it across the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Severino Deunoro in the 93rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Francisco Hegoi prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 94 minutes into the match, Resistencia's goal looked a bit too open when Severino Deunoro came free, but Francisco Hegoi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 96th minute COLON SFFC were awarded a corner. Victoriano Petri went to the cornerflag to take it. COLON SFFC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
