When Emilio Pacifico, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 6 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Felix Peio was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Polvorines Forever's Norberto Feliu got a good chance for a goal in the 9th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Felix Peio made a fantastic save in the 11th minute, when Omar Grabiel sent off a good shot on target. Felix Peio didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Omar Grabiel went, in the 18th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Francisco Hegoi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cayetano Tolino in the 21st minute of play. Cayetano Tolino scored 1-1 in the 24th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Francisco Hegoi, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When Alonzo Venceslas came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the Polvorines Forever fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alonzo Venceslas couldn't finish the play. Alonzo Venceslas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Francisco Hegoi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Polvorines Forever getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Fabian Guerau hit a great ball. Felix Peio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emilio Pacifico in the 34th minute of play. The corner led Polvorines Forever's Leandro Lehen to fire away a dangerous shot which Francisco Hegoi despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Cayetano Tolino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Francisco Hegoi having to interfere. If Honorato Chorache had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Alonzo Venceslas's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Francisco Hegoi was relentless in the 44th minute of the game. Francisco Hegoi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Norberto Feliu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Norberto Feliu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Genaro Eate was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 54 minutes into the match. The supporters of Resistencia booed when Polvorines Forever was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Genaro Eate didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 58th minute Albino Fix shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Felix Peio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Emilio Pacifico fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Felix Peio having to interfere. If Daniel Silviano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 69 played minutes Resistencia got a freekick which was hit by Hipolito Manni. Omar Grabiel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Felix Peio having to interfere. Emilio Pacifico recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Polvorines Forever's Cayetano Tolino got a good chance for a goal in the 76th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Alonzo Venceslas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cayetano Tolino could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 82nd minute of the match, but Francisco Hegoi made a huge save. Isaias Montel blasted a shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Felix Peio having to make a save. If Omar Grabiel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Francisco Hegoi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cayetano Tolino, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. Alonzo Venceslas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 95 minutes into the match, Resistencia's Albino Fix sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Felix Peio narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Polvorines Forever players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
