Spectators: 7227 (Terracing: 5422, Seating: 1662, VIP seats: 143) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Dario Quinito took the kick off in the first half of the match. Eriberto Rico received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Rigoberto Gonza tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Nunez Sidoro during the 5th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Mencué FC booed when Maseta FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nunez Sidoro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rigoberto Gonza came out of the goal in the 6th minute to try and stop a shot by Mencué FC's Gaspar Dominguez. But to his dismay, Gaspar Dominguez quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Niceto Bartoli made an important save on a dangerous shot by Genaro Ferrando in the 12th minute. When Dario Quinito came up free with the goalie in the 15th minute, the Maseta FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dario Quinito couldn't finish the play. In the 18th minute the ball was on its way in behind Mencué FC's goalkeeper Niceto Bartoli, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Eriberto Rico fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rigoberto Gonza having to interfere. When Gaspar Dominguez came up free with the goalie in the 30th minute, the Mencué FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gaspar Dominguez couldn't finish the play. Nunez Sidoro was shown his second yellow card after 32 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. With a little luck, Mencué FC's Niceto Bartoli got control of the ball when Genaro Ferrando tried to sneak it across the goal line. Rigoberto Gonza took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eriberto Rico, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

After having played for 59 minutes, Rodrigo Iratze managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Maseta FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rodrigo Iratze was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Niceto Bartoli made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Genaro Ferrando in the 63rd minute of play. Genaro Ferrando's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Niceto Bartoli read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 64th minute of play. Gaspar Dominguez had several of the Maseta FC's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 66 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-2 score and a disappointed Rigoberto Gonza as he didn't even see the shot coming. Rodrigo Iratze hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. After 78 played minutes Maseta FC got a freekick which was hit by Humberto Muc. Eriberto Rico recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Genaro Ferrando scored 2-2 in the 83rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Niceto Bartoli, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Eriberto Rico fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rigoberto Gonza having to interfere. Gaspar Dominguez could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 96th minute of the match, but Rigoberto Gonza made a huge save.
