Spectators: 7234 (Terracing: 5427, Seating: 1664, VIP seats: 143) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Felix Lidon in the 16th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mauro Ospin prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Lepá FC's Serafino Guillerme played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Freddy Isias in the 18th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Romeo Balendin's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Mauro Ospin was relentless in the 22nd minute of the game. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jesus Urtun was the one to do the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Benard's zone, Romeo Balendin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mauro Ospin came out of the goal and Romeo Balendin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 55th minute Romeo Balendin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mauro Ospin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Felix Lidon was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 58th minute. Lepá FC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Serafino Guillerme showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jesus Urtun, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute.
