In the 6th minute of the match Simon Gilabert sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Mauro Ospin skillfully saved the ball. Benard's Mauro Ospin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Amado Bertin in the 11th minute of play. Benard's Jesus Urtun got a good chance for a goal in the 18th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Mauro Ospin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dalmacio Gaspard in the 20th minute of the match. With his leg Venancio Garcia managed to avoid a goal in the 22ndth minute, when Benard's Jesus Urtun fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Geronimo Tebaldo hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. In the 26th minute, Freddy Isias reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Venancio Garcia. The goal made the score 1-1. Amado Bertin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mauro Ospin having to interfere. Amado Bertin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Mauro Ospin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 41st minute Dalmacio Gaspard shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mauro Ospin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Amado Bertin in the 42nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mauro Ospin prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jesus Urtun got free with Venancio Garcia in the 46th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Geronimo Tebaldo during the 46th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Benard booed when Tumba Rancho was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Geronimo Tebaldo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Venancio Garcia was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Freddy Isias showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-1 in the 49 minute of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Freddy Isias to make the kick off. Venancio Garcia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jesus Urtun, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. Freddy Isias fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Venancio Garcia having to interfere. After 61 played minutes, Benard's Jeronimo Aurken shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Venancio Garcia came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Benard reached it. If Dalmacio Gaspard had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 65th minute, Celedonio Frutos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mauro Ospin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Amado Bertin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Amado Bertin was extremely unlucky when he, in the 76th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Dalmacio Gaspard had several of the Benard's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 77 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 2-2 score and a disappointed Mauro Ospin as he didn't even see the shot coming. In the 81st minute, Amado Bertin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 83rd minute, Dalmacio Gaspard managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tumba Rancho's supporters rose to their feet, but Dalmacio Gaspard was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mauro Ospin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Amado Bertin in the 86th minute of play forced Benard's goalkeeper Mauro Ospin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jesus Urtun fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Venancio Garcia having to interfere. Dalmacio Gaspard could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 89th minute of the match, but Mauro Ospin made a huge save.
