After some fancy dribbling in the 19th minute, Tiburcio Rozarius managed to get in a good position for a shot. Saujil's supporters rose to their feet, but Tiburcio Rozarius was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Florentino Favila breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After having played for 21 minutes, Tiburcio Rozarius managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Saujil's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tiburcio Rozarius was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Florentino Favila took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tiburcio Rozarius, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Saujil's Tiburcio Rozarius got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Saujil's Segundo Gartzi got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Sebastian Osoitz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eloy Giraldo in the 36th minute of play. Tiburcio Rozarius's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Florentino Favila read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 45th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Manuel Chayo in the 47th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Florentino Favila saved Ataliva from getting behind. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Segundo Gartzi stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Teobaldo Raebert hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sebastian Osoitz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eloy Giraldo in the 61st minute of the match. Eloy Sesuldo scored 1-1 in the 67th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Sebastian Osoitz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 73rd minute Eloy Giraldo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sebastian Osoitz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eloy Giraldo in the 75th minute of play forced Saujil's goalkeeper Sebastian Osoitz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Saujil's zone, Eloy Sesuldo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sebastian Osoitz came out of the goal and Eloy Sesuldo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 79thth minute of the game Eloy Giraldo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Saujil's Sebastian Osoitz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Eloy Giraldo scored 2-1 in the 81st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Sebastian Osoitz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 88th minute Eloy Sesuldo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sebastian Osoitz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Eloy Sesuldo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Sebastian Osoitz was relentless in the 90th minute of the game. Eloy Giraldo struck a weak shot in the 91st minute. Sebastian Osoitz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ataliva.
