Solís's supporters rose to their feet, but Esteban Jerold was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Arnulfo Matro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Rigoberto Bernaldo hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. Esteban Jerold's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Arnulfo Matro read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 15th minute of play. SaraserosFc's Arnulfo Matro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Esteban Jerold in the 23rd minute of play. 26 minutes into the game, Esteban Jerold cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Arnulfo Matro was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Arnulfo Matro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Esteban Jerold in the 31st minute of play. Esteban Jerold fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arnulfo Matro having to interfere. Esteban Jerold received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Arnulfo Matro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rigoberto Bernaldo was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 42 minutes into the match. In the 43rd match minute, SaraserosFc was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rigoberto Bernaldo to maneuver through the defense. After 44 played minutes, Solís's Remigio Peruanton shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Arnulfo Matro came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Solís reached it. Guillermo Turi hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Timoteo Tabor in the 45th minute of play forced SaraserosFc's goalkeeper Arnulfo Matro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Evaristo Nevada had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half Solís were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

With a little luck, SaraserosFc's Arnulfo Matro got control of the ball when Gregorio Loreto tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of Solís booed when SaraserosFc was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Guillermo Turi didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 56th minute, Apolo Ereinotz sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Solís's Aaron Mon didn't even have to move. In the 70th minute, Solís's Timoteo Tabor dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-2. Aaron Mon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Guillermo Turi in the 74th minute of the match. Evaristo Nevada received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Aaron Mon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Arnulfo Matro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Timoteo Tabor, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Solís players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
