Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 18 minutes, Celso Esquipula managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Calilegua's supporters crossed their fingers, but Celso Esquipula was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In a very dangerous position, a player in Calilegua fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 23rd minute. Penalty! When the match had been going on for 24 minutes, Titi club's Wilfredo Luar got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Benito Meder. Celso Esquipula sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Celso Esquipula fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Saturnino Blasi having to interfere. When Edgardo Xabat fell near the penalty area in the 37th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Titi club's protests and gave Edgardo Xabat a yellow card for diving instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Iker Rodriguez in the 40th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Saturnino Blasi prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 47 minutes into the match, Calilegua's goalkeeper Benito Meder had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Santo Sancho. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Celso Esquipula made the kick off in the second half. After 51 minutes, Javier Elequemedo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Titi club and the Calilegua players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 51 played minutes Titi club got a freekick which was hit by Javier Elequemedo. In the 52nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Titi club's goalkeeper Saturnino Blasi, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 55 minutes into the match, Calilegua's goal looked a bit too open when Emiliano Rencio came free, but Benito Meder reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Calilegua's Benito Meder played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dario Tello in the 57th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emiliano Rencio in the 59th minute of play forced Calilegua's goalkeeper Benito Meder to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 60 minutes into the game, Celso Esquipula was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Calilegua's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Titi club the free kick. 63 minutes into the game, Titi club's Santo Sancho nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Benito Meder made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Celso Esquipula in the 72nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Saturnino Blasi saved Titi club from getting behind. Iker Rodriguez's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Saturnino Blasi firmly grabbed it by the left post. Iker Rodriguez who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 79thth minute tested the skills of Saturnino Blasi when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Through an outstanding action, after 80 minutes, Saturnino Blasi successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 89th minute, Iker Rodriguez got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 94th minute, Javier Elequemedo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Saturnino Blasi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Celso Esquipula in the 95th minute of play.
